Channel Learning Alliance Formed
A five-year £4.6 million commitment unites educators and employers to expand STEM access for island students.
Jersey · Perpetual Philanthropy
The Evergreen Family Foundation nurtures resilient communities through patient capital, education access, and environmental stewardship from the Channel Islands.
Purpose
We believe lasting progress requires roots as deep as ambition—funding programmes that compound over decades rather than dissipate in annual cycles.
From our offices on Grenville Street, trustees deploy endowment resources toward education equity, preventive healthcare, cultural preservation, and ecological resilience throughout Jersey, the United Kingdom, and selected international communities.
Core Values
Endowment discipline ensures grantmaking capacity survives market cycles and leadership transitions.
Every award undergoes independent review with published conflict-of-interest safeguards.
Grantees co-design outcomes; we provide capital, networks, and measurement support.
Environmental and social impact inform both our programmes and investment policy.
Our Story
Founded in 1985, the Evergreen Family Foundation began as a private trust supporting Channel Islands youth programmes. Over four decades, the endowment grew through disciplined investment and generational giving, enabling expansion into health, education, and conservation portfolios.
Today we operate as an independent Jersey charity, governed by a board committed to the founding family's vision of quiet, effective philanthropy.

International education exchange programme inaugurated with partner universities.
Integrated sustainability reporting adopted across all programme areas.
Leadership
Evergreen philanthropy means planting today what others will harvest tomorrow—investments in people, places, and institutions that outlast any single grant cycle.
Our trustees remain guided by evidence, humility, and the conviction that private capital can complement public effort without replacing local leadership.
Strategy
Widen access to primary-through-university education, vocational apprenticeships, and digital literacy for underserved island and coastal communities.
Scale preventive medicine, integrated mental health services, and community wellness infrastructure.
Protect biodiversity, fund coastal restoration, and support renewable community energy projects.
